The Head of the Composites Group at the LZH, Verena Wippo, has been General Chair of the conference for the second time in a row. Together with the co-chairs and an international program committee, she put together a high-quality program.
As the overall theme of ICALEO this year was space exploration, the participants were able to visit the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral as a special highlight and also meet NASA astronaut veteran Dr. Don Thomas (on the photo, 4th from left), who also gave the closing speech at the ICALEO conference.
These were the contributions from the LZH at this year's conference:
High Deposition Rate Welding With a Laser Line Optics with the Laser Assisted Double Wire Deposition Welding Process With Non-transferred Arc (LAM 404)
Kai Biester
Process Stability and Weld Seam Geometry during Deposition Welding with High-carbon Wire Material 100Cr6 (LAM 202)
