Miroslav Zabic from the Biophotonics Group, Industrial and Biomedical Optics Department, has won the Student Paper Poster Award in the "Optical Coherence Imaging Techniques and Imaging in Scattering Media" category at the European Conferences on Biomedical Optics 2021 (ECBO 2021).

The poster "OCT Wavenumber Calibration with Simple Reference Arm Modification" Zabic et al. describes how axial resolution of optical coherence tomography (OCT) systems can be improved. For this purpose, the open-source software OCTproZ was developed by LZH together with Leibniz Universität Hannover.
