Short-Bio
Study of „Animal Biology and Biomedical Sciences“ at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover (TiHo), degree Master of Science obtained in 2016. In 2020, she completed her PhD titled "Design, Evaluation and Application of Hydrogel Waveguides for Optogenetics" at the Hannover Medical School (MHH) within the REBIRTH Excellence Cluster.
Sonja Johannsmeier has been working at the Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. as a scientific employee since 2016. Since October 2020, Sonja Johannsmeier is heading the Hygiene & Environmental Technology Group in the Department of Life Sciences.
