We use a standard step-index few-mode Yb-doped gain fiber with a core diameter of 20µm in a Mamyshev oscillator to generate pulse energies of more than 500nJ directly from the laser oscillator. The pulses can be compressed to sub-100fs with an efficiency of 85\%.
